A very beautiful, mysterious stone. The Romans believed it was solidified rays of the Moon, hence the name, maybe because its pearly opalescence.

It's believed to aid spiritual guidance & meditation & is used for protection whilst travelling. It helps to bring love & happy experiences to sensitive & intuitive people.

It was very popular during the Art Nouveau period.
