Madeleine Blaine has been designing and making jewellery for over 25 years, a passion rooted in childhood as she watched her grandmother run her own jewellery market stall in London. After travelling the globe in her late teens, Madeleine began her jewellery-making journey in Mexico, inspired by the country's rich culture, craft heritage, and precious materials. These influences have remained a constant thread throughout her work ever since.

Her love of beautiful jewellery, both ancient and contemporary, led her to create collections rich in bright, unusual gemstones and the interplay of gold and silver, all found in her heritage collection- Gallardo & Blaine Designs.. 

Over the past year, her work has taken a new direction. Drawing on decades of experience, Madeleine has developed a sculptural jewellery collection that explores organic form, movement, texture, and balance. Each piece is conceived as a small sculpture to wear, shaped by artistry and a deep connection to the natural world.

After settling in Dublin, Madeleine was inspired by the city's vibrant creative energy and, in 2017, founded The Collective, a jewellery store on Drury Street in the heart of the city. Home to over 40 independent brands, around half of them Irish designers, the store celebrates innovative thinking alongside timeless design, with a carefully curated selection of some of the finest jewellery from Ireland and beyond.

In 2018, Madeleine also founded Silver Works, an award-winning jewellery-making workshop business, sharing her love of creativity and making by hand with others.
